1) Verify your business on Google.
Is your business showing up on Google Maps, even though you or your employees didn’t add it? If it is, your business needs to be verified. Search for it, click on it, and then click the link titled, “Are you the business owner?”, and follow the on screen directions to verify it. This is a super quick and easy way to drastically improve your local online search rankings!
2) Add photos to your social media posts.
If you want to increase engagement and grow your social media following, start throwing in photos alongside your tweets and posts. You might be surprised at how many people respond or “like/favourite” your posts. With so many text based messages and articles being tossed out over social media, mixing it up with photos is a sure-fire way to get your audience’s attention.
3) Link to your website.
Discover where your target audience likes to hang out online and join in on the conversation with them. While you’re at it, link back to your website. Think bigger than social media, too. Try forums, discussion boards, etc. BUT DON’T BE SPAMMY. It’s important not to over-do the links – find a happy balance between being useful and annoying.
